Confined Space Entry

This program is the most essential tool for assuring employee safety during entry in confined spaces with known hazards or with unknown or potentially hazardous atmospheres. The Confined Space Entry Certification Program guides the supervisor and workers through a systematic evaluation of the space to be entered and teaches them options of mitigation for any known hazards.

This program is an essential tool for helping your leaders better define the leadership styles, in turn helping them better motivate your companies’ employees which helps you reach your company goals and objectives more efficiently. The Leadership and Effective Communication Class guides the supervisor and workers through different Leadership styles and helps build more effective and motivated leaders in your company.

Standard CPR/AED and Basic First Aid

This course teaches the AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course, which trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course also teaches students First aide basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies in both adult and pediatric situations.

Bucket Truck Safety and Operations

This course teaches students the ability to operate a bucket truck safely and efficiently under the Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and ANSI A92 standard.
The course covers
OSHA Regulations and ANSI Standards over the various types of Bucket Trucks and teaches the operator Safe Operating Practices of the vehicle. Students will become familiar with any Associated Hazards that may be present during setup and operational periods. The importance of securing and establishing proper Work Zones to aid in the Stability and proper use of correct Fall Protection is also a pillar in this course. The student will also learn Manufacturer Specific Requirements on Fueling, Inspections and Maintenance of your company’s Bucket Truck. The operator will gain skills through classroom and hands-on practical’s and Operators will be evaluated on each Class and Model of personnel lift to be operated.

Fall Protection

In this comprehensive course we equip the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure safety while working at heights. Our program not only meets but exceeds the requirements set forth by both ANSI and OSHA. Falls are a leading cause of serious work-related injuries and fatalities. Whether you work on elevated platforms, near holes in floors and walls, or over dangerous machinery, proper fall protection is essential. This course covers Personal Fall Arrest Systems (PFAS), Work Positioning Systems, Fall Restraints, Fixed Ladder Climbing Systems, Safety Nets and Designated Safety Areas. Students who complete this course will be able to identify fall hazards in various work environments, Select and use appropriate fall protection equipment, Implement safety measures to prevent falls and Understand ANSI and OSHA standards related to fall protection.

Fork Truck Safety and Operations

This course is crucial to ensure safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks in the General Industry setting as set forth by the OSHA and ANSI Standards. In this course the students will explore the different types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach trucks, pallet jacks) and learn about their key components, controls, and load capacities. The students will master safe driving practices, including turning, stopping, and maneuvering in tight spaces, understand the importance of maintaining stability during lifting and lowering operations and address common hazards such as tip-overs, collisions, and pedestrian interactions. The students will learn load handling and stacking techniques, Inspections and Maintenance, Safety Rules and Regulations and Emergency Procedures. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certification valid for two years.

General Industry

This course is a dynamic program designed for professionals committed to creating safer work environments that meet and exceed the standards of OSHA and ANSI. In this course, the students will learn how to develop, implement, and communicate emergency procedures and understand the importance of EAPs in crisis management situations. They will understand the importance of teamwork, communication, and rapid response in Rescue Plans. Students will also be able to conduct thorough job site assessments identify hazards specific to your work environment and implement preventive measures to minimize risks allowing them to develop customized Work Action Plans for specific tasks. The students will also become familiar with the proper Fall Protection Equipment and how to maintain, wash and recognize when it is time to replace potential faulty PPE. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certification that reflects your commitment to workplace safety.​

JLG/Scissor Lift Safety and Operations

This course teaches students the ability to operate a JLG/Scissor Lift safely and efficiently under the Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and ANSI A92 standard. The course covers OSHA Regulations and ANSI Standards over the various types of JLG/Scissor Lifts and teaches the operator Safe Operating Practices of the vehicle. The importance of securing and establishing proper Work Zones to aid in the Stability and proper use of correct Fall Protection is also a pillar in this course. The student will also learn Manufacturer Specific Requirements on Fueling, Inspections and Maintenance of your company’s JLG/Scissor Lift. The operator will gain skills through classroom and hands-on practical’s and Operators will be evaluated on each Class and Model of personnel lift to be operated.

Rooftop Safety

This course provides the Workers the knowledge and skills necessary to stay safe on the rooftop workplace. They will gain knowledge through classroom presentation and a hands-on practical. Providing them with the latest OSHA and ANSI standards, teaches the students not only how to recognize unsafe acts and conditions but also how to mitigate those situations. The student will also gain knowledge in proper Fall Protection equipment and its proper use as it pertains to the Rooftop environment. The student will also take away from this class the importance of preplanning and recognize the different style Work Areas, Preventative Safety Systems and Ladder Systems needed to correctly fill out the appropriate EAP. This course will also discuss the different roles and their responsibilities on the roof. We will also discuss the different Rescue plans one could do if there was to be an emergency.  

Train-the-Trainer Program

The Train-the-Trainer program is designed to equip your organization’s trainers with the expertise needed to effectively deliver EGIS’s professional training courses. As companies seek to enhance their capabilities and knowledge, this course enables you to become self-sufficient in training your teams while adhering to EGIS’s high standards. Having Train-the-Trainers has proven to be cost-efficient, sustainable, and highly beneficial due to the flexibility of demand from your organization.
In this program the trainers will become efficient in EGIS’s program delivery, gaining effective training techniques by learning Best Practices for engaging learners and managing diverse audiences. They will also master methods to assess trainee performances, provide constructive feedback and adapt training styles to meet their trainees’ learning style. The Trainer will also be responsible in ensuring alignment with EGIS’s high-quality standards and maintain consistency across all training sessions they are certified in.  In this course, Trainers are evaluated as they present a portion of the program, they are certified in, to their peers in the class.
Upon completion, participants must teach a minimum of two certifying classes per year and return annually for a one-day Train-the-Trainer refresher class. The Train-the-Trainer will then receive a copy of all necessary documentation to complete a course, including EGIS’s PowerPoints, competency evaluations, tests and answers and Instructor evaluation forms.
